Teaching and Consulting

Statistical Consulting

School of Nursing, Oakland University

  • I analyzed 3,000+ healthcare records to evaluate an emissions-reduction intervention aimed at reducing fresh gas flow during anesthesia by 45-75%. This project helped Southwest Michigan hospital move towards meeting national carbon compliance standards and reducing their overall carbon footprint.
  • I applied statistical expertise to Social Determinants of Health data to identify medical treatment gaps and social barriers facing vulnerable patient and veteran populations. This project informed equity-driven healthcare strategies across low-income communities in Michigan.

Center for Statistical Training & Consulting (CSTAT), Michigan State University

  • I developed custom R packages, built an automated reporting system that cut reporting time by 80%, and delivered 24 technical reports on behavioural intervention trends for Michigan's Department of Health and Human Services.
  • I applied advanced statistical analyses to A/B test the effectiveness of reading interventions, providing data-driven recommendations that reached 50,000+ practitioners and researchers across Michigan's K-12 literacy programs.

Mentorship & Peer Review

Mentorship

Through the Illinois Science & Technology Coalition (ISTC), I mentor high school students taking their first steps in the research world, helping them build critical thinking skills and hopefully, a lasting curiosity for science.

Peer Review

I serve as an ad hoc reviewer for Springer Nature, IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, The Journal of Social Psychology, and other peer-reviewed journals. I also serve as a reviewer for Cognitive Science Society and Society for Personality and Social Psychology's annual conferences.
